Overview
- The Valorant Community Tournament, organised by LoFi Coffee Malaysia is an open mini-tournament (the “LoFi Invitational”).
- There will be up to 8 teams in the Tournament. Teams will consist of five players (individually a “Participant” and together a “Team”), one of whom will be designatedcaptain and will be the main point of contact with the Tournament organisers.
- The Tournament is a two (2) day, Valorant tournament. The tournament will consist of a 8 team bracket and will be played on PC.
- The Tournament prizes are as follows:
- 1st place = RM 150
- 2nd place = RM 100
- 3rd place = RM 50
- Please note: the prizes are as stated only, staff of Lofi Coffee Malaysia will not pay out any other kind of prizes such as products or promotional items as an alternative.
- Team captains will be invited to join a Discord for centralised communication prior to and during the Tournament.
- Crew production of the LoFi Invitational included Sponsorship are not allowed to participate in this Tournament.
- MeoW Nur and Musqim are the sole sponsors of the Valorant Community Tournament. Participants agree that their inclusion in the Tournament is as an individual and must not reference, tag, or promote 3rd party sponsors in social media posts or other forums, either directly or indirectly.
Rules
1. General Rules
- Tournament
- The Valorant Community Tournament is an open Tournament for Valorant, hosted by Discord Server LoFi Coffee Malaysia and played on PC. The Tournament is limited to players who are residents or citizens in server Singapore.
- Administration
- Everybody who is authorised by LoFi Coffee Malaysia to administer the Valorant Community Tournament based on its rules and regulations will be called an "Admin". Inthe following, the collection of all Admins will be called the "Administration".
- Participation Commitment
- Every Participant must :
- have a valid main Riot Account
- play Valorant on Singapore server
- not be crew production of the LoFi Invitational included sponsorship
- By participating in the Valorant Community Tournament, Participants acknowledgethey will, without limitation, comply with the Tournament Rules and with the statements and decisions made by the Administration.
- Every Participant acknowledges the right for the Administration to modify the rulesand regulations for adjustments at any time without notice and if necessary overrule those to ensure fair play and integrity throughout the Tournament.
- Every Participant must be respectful towards Admins and other Participants. Insults and unfair or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and will be punishedin accordance with these rules.
- Every Team Captain can join the Discord server to communicate with Admins for the Tournament. The link to the Discord server will be provided to participants before the start of the Tournament.
- Every Participant has to try to win every round of the Tournament. Purposefully losing for any reason is strictly forbidden.
- Vulgar, racist, sexist or otherwise offensive player names are forbidden. This will be at the sole discretion of the Tournament Admins.
- Every Participant acknowledges the right for the Administration to edit players’ names if names are deemed unfit for display.
- Every Participant in the Valorant Community Tournament consents to the collection of footage, photo and audio material displaying or voicing them during the Tournament to be stored and used for announcements, website content and other publications by LoFi Coffee unrestricted and unlimited in terms of time and place.
- Communication
- All communication between Participants and the Administration has to be held in the Discord server (LoFi Coffee Malaysia) at any time and at any stage of the Tournament.
- It will be the sole responsibility of Lofi Coffee Malaysia crew to manage communications on behalf of the Administration between Participants and the Administration. Any other form of communication shall be ignored.
2. Format & Schedule
- Participation & Commitment
- The Tournament is a three (3) day, Valorant tournament. The tournament will consist of a 8 team direct elimination bracket and will be played on PC (the “Tournament”).
- Score Metrics
- All matches except the Grand Finals will be a Best-of-One. The Grand Finals will be played as a Best-of-Three.
- Registration
- All Participants have to sign up on Google Form which provided in our official announcements of Lofi Coffee Malaysia Discord Server or any of our partnership servers’ event announcements, and create or join a team. Teams have a check-in period of 60 minutes before the tournament starts. The first 8 teams to ready up in time with all their players, will qualify for a spot in the tournament on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no entry fee.
- Schedule
- The Valorant Community Tournament will run on 27 May 2023 starting at 9:00 pm (GMT+8) and ending with the Grand Finals on 29 May 2023 at 1:00 am (GMT+8)
- Registration
- Participants must commit to playing the entire Tournament. Team Participants must remain the same for the entirety of the Tournament to ensure a level playing field. If Participants can no longer participate once the Tournament has started, the Administration will suggest the next steps and the Participant may risk forfeiting their whole Team. This is at the Administration’s sole discretion.
- Event Structure
- Eight teams will compete in a best-of-one, double elimination bracket. All upper bracketand lower bracket matches will be all direct elimination or best-of-one matches exceptthe Grand Finals which will compete in a best-of-three.
- Match Times
- Each game will be played at a time within the Tournament Window to be determined bythe Administration at their sole discretion. The matches between Match 1 until Match 10(read at the Direct Elimination Charts) will be played on 27 May 2023 starting at 9:00pm(13:00 GMT) and Match 11 will be played on 28 May 2023 starting at 9:00pm (13:00GMT). Upper Bracket Finals (M12) will be played on 28 May 2023 starting at 9:00pm (13:00 GMT) and the Lower Bracket Finals (M13) will be played on 28 May 2023 starting at 10:00pm (14:00 GMT).And the Grand Finals will be played on 29 May 2023 starting at 9:00pm (13:00 GMT).
- Rescheduling and Postponing
- Matches cannot be postponed or rescheduled to another date or time unless determined by the Administration at its sole discretion for any reason.
- Punctuality
- Matches start at the time stated on the schedule. Each participant will have to confirm their presence in the voice room provided in the server before the confirmation timer runs out.
- Matches cannot be started earlier. Matches can't be delayed for any reason unless the previous match ran for longer than planned.
- If one Team is not ready to start at the official match time, the Admins in their sole discretion may disqualify the Team from the match or the Tournament. Admins may extend the punctuality deadline in exceptional circumstances to get the match played at its sole discretion.
- Check-In
- All Team Captains can join the Tournament Discord server and check in with Tournament staff. All Participants must be available at the time the Tournament rounds start and ready up for each match.
- Map Selection
- Map Pool
- The map pool consists of Bind, Haven, Split, Ascent, Fracture, Pearl and Lotus.
- Map Selection Process for Best-of-One Matches
- This process has to happen in the LoFi Coffee Malaysia Discord Server lobby voice chat, for each game. A flip coin will be decided before the process starts. The team that won from the flip coin decision will be Team A. Team A starts the process and the map for the Match will be selected according to the following procedure.

- Map 7 is only Map remaining
- Map Selection Process for Best-of-Three Matches

5. During The Match
- Match Start & Restart
- From the time a match begins, Participants are prohibited from intentionally disconnecting from the game. If a Participant or Team disconnects intentionally after the game has started, the game will continue with the remaining players and will not be restarted.
- A Team may request a match restart if the fairness of the game is seriously compromised by an issue outside of the players control. Matters that may lead to the match being restarted include but are not limited to
- enemy players using 3rd party tools or software in breach of Riot's Terms of Service; or
- if the game crashes for all players
- All restart requests need to be flagged to the Admin team before a restart can be actioned. Evidence to support the request must be shared and the decision on the restart will be at the sole discretion of the Admin.
- Breach of Terms of Use
- If Participants are found guilty of Bug Abuse or in breach of Riot's Terms of Service, they may face consequences including automatic disqualification. All punishment will be at the sole discretion of the Administration.
- Pauses and Crashes
- Timeouts (Tactical Pauses)
- Teams are allowed to call Timeouts of 60 seconds in duration one time per map.Timeouts can be called via the in-game pause system.
- Technical Pauses
- If a player has a problem that prevents him from playing on, he is allowed to use the pause function. The player has to announce the reason before or immediately after he paused the match. During a technical pause, headsets have to stay on. Unless a Tournament Official instructs the player otherwise any form of communication including but not limited to text and voice communication between players and coaches is forbidden during a technical pause. The Tournament Official can pause the game if for some reason the player pausing does not work.
- Each Team Captain must submit a screenshot of each game’s score within 5 minutes when the game finishes. This evidence must be a screenshot of the end game leaderboard. Tournament staff will be monitoring the games but will still require scores to be submitted by each Team Captain via Discord voice chat room. You must include the following information in the screenshot.
- Player Names
- Score of the match
- AVG Combat Score
- KDA
- Econ Rating
- First Bloods
- Plants / Defused
- Possible Punishments
- The punishments for any rule violations include but are not limited to
- Loss of one match
- Disqualification from the Tournament
- Disqualification from future tournaments
- Punishments shall be at the Administration’s sole discretion
- In the Tournament :
- 1st place = RM 150
- 2nd place = RM 100
- 3rd place = RM 50
- The prizes will be hand to the team leaders from the winning team accordingly via online banking. LoFi Coffee Malaysia isn’t liable to you for the prize IF the cash can’t be identified or had failed transaction from online banking if the staff have evidence (receipt).
